Recently, the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission announced the target and task of reducing excess coal production capacity in the province by 2020. This year, the province plans to reduce excess coal production capacity by 9.94 million tons. They will close down seven coal mines and reduce production capacity by 7.61 million tons. They will cut overcapacity in five coal mines and reduce overcapacity by 2.33 million tons.
