Shanxi's raw coal production fell by 5.6% in the first two months of this year

According to the Shanxi Provincial Bureau of Statistics, in January-February of 2020, the output of raw coal above the scale in Shanxi Province was 126.812 million tons, down 5.6 percent year on year, while the output of raw coal from January to December of 2019 increased 6.1 percent year on year, and that from January to February of 2019 increased 6.0 percent.
In January-February of 2020, the added value of the coal industry decreased by 11.6 percent year on year, while the added value of the coal industry increased by 4.1 percent year on year in January-December of 2019, and by 4.7 percent year on year in January-February of 2019.
In addition, from January to February in 2020, the output of above- scale coke in Shanxi Province was 14.677 million tons, down 5.4% year on year. From January to February, the added value of coking industry decreased by 9.0% year on year.
