China Shenhuas commercial coal output fell 1.2% in February

According to the announcement of major operating data for February 2020 issued by China Shenhua on the evening of March 19, the commercial coal output of Shenhua in February 2020 was 25.4 million tons, down 1.2% year on year and up 5.39% month on month. Coal sales volume was 30.3 million tons, down 22.1 percent year on year and up 11.81 percent month on month.
In January-February of 2020, China Shenhua’s cumulative production of commercial coal reached 49.5 million tons, up 5.8% year on year. The cumulative coal sales volume was 57.4 million tons, down 11.6% year on year.
In February 2020, China Shenhua’s Huanghua Port shipped 13.7 million tons, down 8.7 percent year on year. The loading volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port Coal Terminal was 3.4 million tons, the same as that of last year. Shipping volume was 7 million tons, down 24.7 percent year on year.
In January-February of 2020, China Shenhua’s Huanghua Port shipped 29.9 million tons, down 6.6 percent from a year earlier. The loading volume of Shenhua Tianjin Port Coal Terminal was 7 million tons, up 11.1% year on year. The e volume of shipping cargo was 15.5 million tons, down 11.9 percent year on year.
In addition, in February 2020, China Shenhua generated 6.56 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, with a cumulative total of 18.7 billion kilowatt-hours from January to February. The total electricity sold in February was 6.15 billion KWH, and the total electricity sold in January and February was 17.52 billion KWH.
