The Inner Mongolia government released the 2020 work plan. By 2020, Inner Mongolia will achieve about 1 billion tons of raw coal output, formulating the regional coal development layout plan, no new coal mines will be opened in the core areas of the grasslands, and Ordos and other areas will make reasonable arrangements for the development of the timing and intensity, and make every effort to stabilize coal production capacity, output and price.
They will build green coal mines, speeding up the construction, upgrading the existing coal mines to meet the standards, and increase the number of green coal mines by more than 50. They will guide the orderly exit of coal mines below 600,000 tons. At the same time, they will take moderate development of coal electricity.
The average power supply coal consumption of coal-fired power units will be further reduced, and coal-fired power units below 300,000 kilowatts that are not up to standard will ne shut down.
