Shandong Energy Group has become the country's second largest supplier of high-quality coking coal and the largest supplier of clean coal in east China, according to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shandong Province.
With the deepening of supply-side structural reform, Shandong Energy Group is still facing the pressure of cutting capacity, ensuring safety and ensuring development. According to the guideline, Shandong Province plans to reduce coal consumption by 36 million tons in 2019-2020. Shandong Energy Group adheres to the initiative to reduce production capacity and policies to shut down backward production capacity. In recent years, Shandong Energy Group has closed and withdrawn 42 pairs of mines in total, among which 16 pairs are closed within the province and 26 pairs are closed outside the province. At present, it can provide 140 million tons of clean coal every year, making it the largest clean coal supplier in east China and the second largest high-quality coking coal supplier in China.
