China imported 299.674 million tons of coal in 2019, up 6.3 percent

Data released by the General Administration of Customs on January 14 showed that China imported 2.772 million tons of coal in December 2019, down 7.4558 million tons or 72.90 percent year-on-year. The month-on-month decrease was 18.09 million tons, down 86.66 percent.
 
From January to December 2019, China imported 299.674 million tons of coal, up 6.3% year-on-year.
 
In December 2019, China exported 675,000 tons of coal, an increase of 365,000 tons or 117.74% year-on-year. Compared with the previous month, it decreased by 117,000 tons, or 14.77%.
 
From January to December 2019, 6.025 million tons of coal was exported, up 22.1 percent year-on-year.
