China discovered 20 new coal mines in 2018

According to the 2018 National Geological Survey Results Report released by the Ministry of Natural Resources, there were 153 newly discovered mines in China in 2018. Coal mines are the most abundant newly discovered mineral resources, with 20 newly discovered mineral resources (14 large ones, 4 medium ones and 2 small ones). There are 470 mining areas in China that have completed periodic exploration, including 40 coal mining areas.
In terms of coal, the Telantu exploration area of Chenbaerhu Banner in Inner Mongolia newly added 5.142 billion tons, the Sandaoaobao exploration area of Zhungeer coalfield in Inner Mongolia newly added 4.605 billion tons, the Gaoshiya exploration area of the Fugu mining area in Yulin of Shaanxi province newly added 2.569 billion tons, the Ningtiaoliang exploration area of the Jurassic coalfield in northern Shaanxi province newly added 2.142 billion tons, the Xiangxinzao area of Bohu County in the Yanqi coal field in Xinjiang newly added 511 million tons, the Huoshaopu coal mine in Panxian County in Guizhou province newly added 422 million tons, and the Xintian coal mine in Qianxi County in Guizhou province newly added 275 million tons, and the Hanjiagou - Majiatai exploration area of Honggu District of Lanzhou in Gansu province nely added 210 million tons.
