Guizhou's demand for thermal coal will reach 74.6 million tons in 2019

Hu Shiyan, Deputy Director of the Guizhou Energy Administration recently said it was estimated that the unified power generation will need to reach 173 billion kWh to meet the economic and social development needs of the province in 2019. The demand for thermal coal will reach 74.6 million tons, up about 5 million tons year on year. The pressure on thermal coal supply guarantee is still large, and it is necessary to accelerate the cultivation and the release of advanced coal production capacity.
 
Guizhou Province accelerated the cultivation and the release of advanced coal production capacity and promoted the balanced production of coal in 2018, supplying 63 million tons of coal in the province, up 7.95 million tons year on year. Several years of winter thermal coal tension has been greatly relieved.
 
Guizhou Province should speed up the implementation of the basic energy industry revitalization action in 2019, accelerating the transformation and upgrading of the coal industry, and building a 100 billion-level basic energy industry. While doing a big "quantity", Guizhou Province will pay more attention to the improvement of "quality".
