China imported 6.14 million tons of coking coal in March, up 53.1% year on year

According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs, China imported 6.14million tons of coking coal in March, up 53.1% year on year, and up 3.23 million tons or 111% on the month.
 
The amount of imports reached $ 816.653 million in March of 2019, up 41.2% year on year. It can be seen that the unit price of imports was $133.01/mt, up $4.09/mt on the month, but down $9/mt year on year.
 
The cumulative volume of imported coking coal was 16.42 million in the first three months of 2019, up 34.7% year on year. And the cumulative amount was $2.401974 billion, up 30.9% year on year.
 
In addition, China exported 170 thousand tons of coking coal in March, up 205.3% year on year. And the cumulative volume of exported coking coal was 490 thousand tons in the first three months of 2019, up 149.1% year on year.
