Coal output of Ordos was 145.8 million tons in Q1, up 4.4%

According to Erdos City Statistics Bureau, the coal output of Ordos City was 145.8million tons in the first three months of 2019, up 6.18 million tons or 4.4% year on year.

Ordos City conducts multi-conversion based on coal, and it fully promotes the transformation and development of resource-based industries.

The city's industrial enterprises above designated size converted 29.761 million tons of coal to other products, up 8.312 million tons year on year. The local conversion rate was 20.4%, up 4.9 % year on year.

The main products that coal is converted locally are as follows: coal-fired power generation was 24.67 billion kWh, up 26.2% year on year. Coke was 1.798 million tons, up 27% year on year. Coal-based urea was 502 thousand tons, up 2.2% year on year. Coal-to-liquids reached 461 thousand tons, up 123.8% year on year. Coal-to-methanol was 1.748 million tons, up 19.3% year on year. Coal gas was 120 million cubic meters, up 0.9% year on year.
