Inner Mongolia coal prices continued to rise in March

According to Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission, the settlement price of thermal coal at mine mouths was 218.42 yuan/mt, up 2.37% on the month. The increase has increased by 2.07 percentage points and it has risen for the third consecutive month.
 
Among them, the average settlement price of lignite at mine mouths in the eastern region was 188.59 yuan/mt, up 2.32% on the month and up 12.84% year on year. The average settlement price of thermal coal at mine mouths in Ordos was 263.33 yuan/mt, up 5.33% on the month but down 13.03% year on year.
 
Due to the suspension of coal mines in some areas and the increase in demand during the Spring Festival, the demand for coal in Inner Mongolia has increased and coal prices have continued to rise since January.
 
According to industry analysts, as the weather warmed up in April, the daily consumption of coal has decreased, and the demand for coal has weakened. Combined with the production of coal in the production area continued to resume, the supply and demand structure of the market tends to be loose. And coal prices in Inner Mongolia are expected to gradually stabilize and fall back.
