According to Ministry of Commerce (MOC), China's coal prices fell 0.3% last week(March 18- March 24). Among them, the prices of coking coal, thermal coal and anthracite were 782 yuan/mt, 601 yuan/mt and 882 yuan/mt, down 0.9%, 0.2% and 0.1% respectively compared with last issue.
Affected by factors such as increased resumption of production in the main producing areas and slowing down of coal consumption in the downstream, it is expected that coal prices will remain stable and decline in the short term.
Steel prices rose 0.3% from the previous week. They were up 1.2% for the fourth consecutive week. Among them, the prices of high speed wire rod, deformed steel bar and hot rolled strip were 4,146 yuan/mt, 4,085 yuan/mt and 4,113yuan/mt , up 0.5%, 0.4% and 0.2% respectively compared with last week.
