The coal import and consumption of Hubei Province hit a record high in 2018

According to Hubei Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Hubei Province's unified power plants transferred 46.553 million tons of thermal coal from other provinces in 2018, up 8.805 million tons year on year. The consumption of thermal coal was 45.916 million tons, up 8.713 million tons year on year. And the thermal coal inventories reached 4.412 million tons at the end of the year, up 1.121 million tons year on year. The amount of thermal coal import and consumption both hit a record high.
