Geng Shuang, Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a regular press conference on February 21. According to Report on “exported Australian coal to China was blocked during customs clearance at Chinese ports", Geng Shuang said that China Customs was responsible for the safety quality of imported coal in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. The purpose of risk monitoring and analysis of the safety and quality of imported coal and the adoption of corresponding inspection and testing measures was to better safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese import enterprises and protect environmental safety.
