Guiyang to carry out 55 industrial projects

Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, held the year's first commencement ceremony for industrial projects on Feb 18. Zhao Deming, secretary of the CPC Guiyang Committee and member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, announced that a total of 55 industrial projects were beginning.
 
Chen Yan, deputy secretary of the CPC Guiyang Committee and mayor of Guiyang, extended his congratulations and delivered a speech at the ceremony. He said that in recent years, Guiyang has carried out an industrial investment movement and development plan, providing strong support for the city's economic development through the continuous improvement of industrial structures and the rapid development of the real economy.
 
"All departments in Guiyang will deepen structural reforms on the supply side, promote opening-up, and accelerate economic development. We will also accelerate the process of turning Guiyang into a medium and high-end manufacturing city and promote medium and high-end consumption in the city," said Chen.
 
Receiving a total of 37.4 billion yuan ($5.56 billion) in investment, the 55 industrial projects cover a number of industries, including the equipment manufacturing industry, the electronic information manufacturing industry, the light industry, the building materials industry, the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, and the phosphorus-coal-based chemical industry. In addition, 31 projects have recently started and the rest are production projects, receiving 23.8 billion yuan and 13.6 billion yuan in investment, respectively.
 
After the implementation of the industrial projects, annual output value, annual sales revenue and annual profits are expected to increase by 66.7 billion yuan, 65.6 billion yuan, and 7.6 billion yuan, respectively. These projects are expected to provide jobs for more than 19,000 people and promote Guiyang’s policies on opening up and developing.
