Coal prices in Qitaihe of Heilongjiang won't fluctuate greatly recently

According to Qitaihe Municipal Commerce Bureau, Qitaihe 's coal prices increased slightly in January. And the coal prices will not fluctuate greatly in the near future.
 
In January 2019, the average price of coal in Qitaihe was 703.58 yuan/mt, up 1.8% on the month, and up 21.4% year on year.
 
Among them, the prices of coking coal were 703.58 yuan/mt, up 1.8% on the month, and up 21.4% year on year.
 
In January, the sales volume of coal in Qitaihe was 72,262 tons, down 12.5% on the month and down 9.86% year on year. The sales amount was 48.68 million yuan, down 16.1% on the month but up 4.15% year on year.
 
In January, Qitaihe City's coal inventory volume was 20,000 tons, up 4.88% on the month and up 64.69% year on year. And the coal inventory was 6.3 million yuan, up 31.8% on the month but down 63.64% year on year.
 
According to the analysis of the Qitaihe Municipal Commerce Bureau, affected by factors such as the Spring Festival and safety issues in January, coal supply will be suppressed to a certain extent. The supply and demand situation of the coal market tends to be basically balanced, but the coking coal and thermal coal markets continue to show different operating rhythms.
 
Specifically, affected by the pre-holiday coal preparation, coking coal demand increases, and the coking coal market is in an overall balance, with regional and structural price increase opportunities. The thermal coal market will improve with the temperature drop, but under the current high inventory and the completely reversed market expectations, the adjustment pattern of the thermal coal market will not change. It is expected that the price of coal in Qitaihe will not fluctuate greatly in the near future.
