China's January CPI up 1.7%, PPI up 0.1%

China's consumer price index, the main gauge of inflation, rose 1.7 percent in January year-on-year, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed on Friday.
 
China's producer price index, which measures the cost of goods at the factory gate, rose 0.1 percent year-on-year in January, the NBS said.
