Coal-producing market--- The thermal coal market in Shanxi, Shaanxi and western Inner Mongolia downed the disadvantaged. The state-owned large mines in Shanxi were in normal production, and some local mines were still out of production. However, due to the high inventory of downstream power plants and weak demand, some power plants have lowered the purchase price by RMB 20/mt. The coal resource tax in Shaanxi increased from 6% to 9%, which is the same as that in Inner Mongolia and is 1% higher than the current tax rate in Shanxi. At present, the sales in the Yulin area were not good, and the price in the Yulin area continued to fall. In order to ensure the market supply, the state-owned large mines and mines with advanced production in Yulin area are expected to gradually resume production before February. The coal transportation by truck in the Erdos area has recovered slightly recently, but it was still at a low level. There have been many rain and snow weathers in the north, and the roads were slippery. This has a certain impact on the short-term coal transportation by truck in the Inner Mongolia. At present, the price adjustment on the mines was cautious, and the wait-and-see sentiment was strong.
Seaborne coal market--- Traders were reluctant to sell coal, and the quoted price continued to rise. The mainstream quotation of 5,500 Kcal/kg thermal coal was around 595-600 yuan/mt, up 5-7 yuan / ton on the day. The mainstream quotation of 5,000 Kcal/kg thermal coal was around 520-525 yuan/mt, up aroud 5 yuan / ton on the day. At present, the downstream acceptance is not high
Imported coal market---Domestic coal users have increased the demand for low-calorie coal in Indonesia, and prices have risen slightly. The price of Indonesian 3,800 kcal/kg NAR coal is $35-36/mt. Indonesia's other calorific value thermal coal prices and Australian coal prices were temporarily stable. It is reported that a port in East China has received a notice requesting that Australian coal (coking coal and thermal coal) will not be unloaded, and other ports in the region have also received notifications successively.
