China imported 113.16 million tons of thermal coal in 2018

According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs, China imported 4 million tons of thermal coal (thermal coal contains bituminous coal and sub-bituminous coal, but does not include lignite, the same below ) in December, down 5.08 million tons or 55.95% year on year, and down 3.47 million tons or 46.45% on the month.
 
The cumulative volume of imported thermal coal was 113.16 million in 2018, up 7.62 million tons or 7.22% year on year.
 
China imported 2.75 million tons of lignite in December, down 3.97 million tons or 59.08% year on year, and down 3.3 million tons or 54.55% on the month.
 
The cumulative volume of imported lignite was 94.28 million in 2018, up 11.68 million tons or 14.14% year on year.
