NBS: China withdrew 150 million tons of coal production capacity in 2018

The State Council Information Office held a press conference at 10 am on January 21, 2019. Ning Jizhe, director of the National Bureau of Statistics, introduced the operation of the national economy in 2018 and answered questions from reporters.

Ning jizhe said that, under the complex international and domestic environment, China's economy has achieved overall stability and progress in 2018, and the main expected goals of economic and social development have been well achieved.

Among them, "cutting down overcapacity, destocking and deleveraging, reducing cost and improving underdeveloped areas"continued to be effective, and the target of reducing the steel production capacity by more than 30 million tons and withdrawing the coal production capacity of more than 150 million tons was overfulfilled in advance.
