Hubei's thermal coal inventories were 4.412 million tons by the end of 2018

According to Hubei Provincial Development and Reform Commission, December was the high consumption period for thermal coal, the amount of thermal coal transferred from other provinces, consumption and inventories were all higher than that of the same period of last year.
 
In December, 4.813 million tons of thermal coal was transferred to the unified power plants of the Province, up 1.399 million tons year on year. And the thermal coal consumption was 5.38 million tons, up 740 thousand tons year on year.
 
The Province's thermal coal inventories of the unified power plants were 4.412 million tons at the end of December, up 1.121 million tons year on year. Based on the average daily coal consumption of 159.2 thousand tons in January of 2018, it can meet the consumption need for more than 27 days.
 
From the perspective of the main coal supply provinces, the coal transferred from Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan and Anhui Province was 708 thousand tons, 850 thousand tons, 452 thousand tons and 67 thousand tons respectively, up 165 thousand tons, 31 thousand tons, 100 thousand tons and 43 thousand tons year on year respectively.
 
From the perspective of transportation mode, the amount of coal transported by railway was 2.189 million tons, up 328 thousand tons year on year. The amount of coal transported by waterway was 2.574 million tons, up 1.053 million tons year on year. And the amount of coal transported by road was 50 thousand tons, up 18 thousand tons year on year.
