NBS: China's raw coal output kept growing and coal imports reduced in November

According to National Bureau of Statistics, China's raw coal output was 320 million tons in November, up 4.5% year on year, and 3.5 percentage points lower than that of last month. The average daily coal output was 10.51 million tons, which was the highest level since December of 2015. And the cumulative volume of raw coal output was 3.21 billion tons in the first eleven months of 2018, up 5.4% year on year.
China imported 19.15 million tons of coal in November, down 13.1% year on year and down 3.93 million tons on the month. The cumulative volume of imported coal was 270 million tons in the first eleven months, up 9.3% year on year.
At the beginning of December, the composite transaction price of coal with 5,500 kcal/kg at Qinhuangdao Port was 580 yuan/mt, down 4 yuan/mt from the beginning of November. The composite transaction price of coal with 5,000 kcal/kg at Qinhuangdao Port was 523 yuan/mt, down 7 yuan/mt from the beginning of November. And the composite transaction price of coal with 4,500 kcal/kg at Qinhuangdao Port was 467 yuan /mt, down 5 yuan/mt from the beginning of November.
