Shanxi will publicly transfer two CBM exploration rights

According to Economic Information Daily, in order to speed up the exploration and development of coalbed methane (CBM), Department of Natural Resources of Shanxi Province recently announced the first public announcement of CBM exploration rights in this year. The two CBM exploration blocks with a total area of about 393.85 square kilometers will be transferred through competitive bidding.

The relevant person in charge of the Department of Natural Resources of  Shanxi Province said that the two CBM exploration blocks of Yushe-Wuxiang and Wuxiangdong, which were planned to be publicly transferred, are 246.77 square kilometers and 147.08 square kilometers respectively. The validity of the exploration permit is 3 years and 3 months, counting from the date when the exploration permit is valid. And the first 3 years is the exploration period, and the remaining 3 months is the assessment period.
