According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs, China imported 19.153 million tons of coal in November, down 13% year on year, and down 17% on the month. It is the fourth consecutive month that coal imports fell on the month after the record reached a high of 29.01 million tons in July of this year.

The cumulative volume of imported coal was 271.187 million in the first eleven months, up 9.3% year on year. And it has slightly exceeded the total amount of 270.9 million tons in the whole year of 2018.

Considering the Customs' goal of stabilizing imports, how much imported coal will be cleared in the final month of the year still remains uncertain, but it is expected to fall sharply from the previous month.
