Shanghai Customs imported 11.666 m tons of coal from Jan. to Oct.

According to Shanghai Customs Statistics, Shanghai Customs District imported 11.666 million tons of coal and lignite(Hereinafter referred to as "coal") in the first ten months of this year, down 0.9% year on year. The value of imported coal was 5.8 billion yuan, up 4.2% year on year. And the average price of imported coal was 497.5 yuan/mt, up 5.2% year on year.
The main features of coal import in the customs area in the first 10 months of this year are as follows:
Coal imports decreased sharply in October.
Almost all of the coal was imported by general trade.
Coal imports of state-owned enterprises accounted for nearly half of the total coal imports, and imports from private enterprises increased.
The growth rate of the largest imported variety--lignite was higher than that of the whole, and the import prices of major varieties have increased to varying degrees.
