Coal output of Ordos was 55.5 million tons in October, up 10.2%

According to Erdos City Statistics Bureau, the coal output of Ordos City was 55.5 million tons in October, up 5.12 million tons or 10.2% year on year, down 2.3 percentage points compared with that of last month.

The cumulative volume of coal output was 499.93 million in the first ten months, up 38.6 million tons or 8.4% year on year, down 3.5 percentage points compared with that of last month.

Ordos City conducts multi-conversion based on coal, and it fully promotes the transformation and development of resource-based industries.

The city's industrial enterprises above designated size converted 114.822 million tons of coal to other products, up 27.246 million tons year on year. The local conversion rate was 23%, up 4 % year on year.

The main products that coal is converted locally are as follows: coal-fired power generation was 79.84 billion kWh, up 14.9% year on year. Coke was 4.453 million tons, down 38.8% year on year. Coal-based urea was 2.68 million tons, down 6.7% year on year. Coal-to-liquids reached 861 thousand tons, down 2.8% year on year. Coal-to-methanol was 4.927 million tons, up 5.4% year on year. Coal gas was 400 million cubic meters, up 22.2% year on year.
