Hubei: power plants need to reach 30 days of coal consumption before Nov. 30

According to Hubei Provincial Energy Bureau, the electric coal demand in the three months of this winter and next spring will reach 15 million tons in the whole province. The Provincial Energy Bureau is actively assembling coal from Shaanxi, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia and other areas to ensure coal demand of power plants.
 
Hubei Province can transport more than 90 thousand tons of electric coal per day by rail. Taking advantage of water transport, more than 77 thousand tons of coal can be transported every day, and the volume of transportation increased by 17.3% year on year.
 
According to the assessment standard of electric coal inventory in the peak winter, all power plants in the province need to reach 30 days of coal consumption before November 30 to ensure the power supply of this winter and next spring.
 
The province's power plants with grid dispatching have transferred a total of 32.8185 million tons of electric coal in the first nine months of 2018, up 4.1675 million tons or 14.5% year on year. Meanwhile，the cumulative coal consumption was 33.4187 million tons, up 5.1338 million tons or 18.2% year on year. Up to October 28, the electric coal inventories were 3.56 million tons.
