Two cities in Heilongjiang have closed down outdated capacity in advance

Up to October 31 of 2018, Shuangyashan and Qitaihe in Heilongjiang Province have completed the annual task of phasing out backward coal production capacities in advance.
Up to October 31 of 2018, there were 41 closed small coal mines in Shuangyashan, and 2520 thousand tons per year of outdated capacities were eliminated, completing the annual task of phasing out 40 backward coal production capacities in two month’s advance.
There are 86 mines under legal production and construction in Shuangyashan. According to the work schedule of phasing out backward coal production capacities and dissolving overcapacity in Heilongjiang, there will be 46 closed small coal mines at the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan.
Up to October 31 of 2018, there were 56 closed mines in Qitaihe, completing the annual task of closing down disqualified mines in advance.
Qitaihe is one of the four major coal-producing cities in Heilongjiang Province. Up to the end of 2017, there were 134 local coal mines, among which were small mines with the annual output less than 150 thousand tons. These small coal mines have more risks of environment pollution and safety accidents occurrence.
