China's electricity consumption increased by 8% year on year in Sep.

On October 17th,2018, the National Energy Administration of China released data on total electricity consumption in September.
In September, the country's electricity consumption was 574.2 billion kWh, up 8% year on year. In terms of industries, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 7.3 billion kWh, up 10.3% year on year. The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 362.3 billion kWh, up 7% year on year. The electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 101.6 billion kWh of electricity, up 12.8% year-on-year. The electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 103.2 billion kWh, up 6.9% year on year.
The country's electricity consumption was 5106.1 billion kWh in the first nine months of 2018, up 8.9% year on year. In terms of industries, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 55.5 billion kWh, up 9.8% year on year. The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 3471.4 billion kWh, up 7.3% year on year. The electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 825.9 billion kWh of electricity, up 13.5% year-on-year. The electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 753.4 billion kWh, up 11.5% year on year.
