In the first three quarters’ performance conference of central enterprises, the spokesman of SASAC (State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission) expressed that central enterprises have undertaken 80% of the task of cutting steel overcapacity and 70% of the task of cutting coal overcapacity.
Central enterprises have exited 16 million tons of steel production capacity and 62 million tons of coal production capacity from 2016 to 2017. Moreover, central enterprises have exited 3.4 million tons of coal production capacity in the half year of 2018, and the task of cutting steel overcapacity has been fully completed.
