Up to September 27, Ganqimaodu Port’s accumulated coal imports totaled 13.60 million tons, up 0.2% compared with the same time of last year. Since coal imports in the first quarter of 2018 did not reach the expectation (imported 2513.6 thousand tons of coal, down 44.14% on the year), the management committee of Ganqimaodu Port has taken measures to optimize the service and management of the port, bringing the rising imports volume from the falling tendency.
By means of coordinating with related parties, innovating current working form and improving service, clearance efficiency of Ganqimaodu Port has remarkable raised. The port’s accumulated coal imports totaled 7.60 million tons from May to August, up 90.39% compared with the first four months. It is worth mentioning that the average daily freight volume in the effective clearance time in September is over 100 thousand tons, creating new monthly high of the year.
