According to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on April 17, China's raw coal output in March 2020 was 337.26 million tons, up 9.6% from a year earlier.
In March, the average daily output was 10.88 million tons, 2.73 million tons more than that in January and February.
From January to March 2020, China's cumulative raw coal output was 829.91 million tons, down 0.5% year on year.
In March, with the improvement of the national epidemic situation, the process of coal production in main coal- producing areas was accelerated. In the later period, under the circumstance that the producing coal mines in the coal-producing areas gradually tend to be normal, and the construction of coal mines will also be on the right track, and the pace of approval of new construction and reconstruction and expansion projects will be accelerated. At that time, the release of advanced production capacity will be further accelerated, and the coal industry will enter the production capacity expansion cycle. It is expected that the national raw coal output will continue to increase.
