China imported 6.55 million tons of coking coal in June, down 2.5%

According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs, China imported 6.55 million tons of coking coal in June, down 2.5% year on year, but up 630 thousand tons or 10.64% on the month.

The amount of imports reached $ 983.339 million in June, down 1.5% year on year. It can be seen that the unit price of imports was $150.13/mt, up $21.57/mt on the month, but down $2.98/mt year on year.

The cumulative volume of imported coking coal was 36.21 million in the first half of 2019, up 22.2% year on year. And the cumulative amount was $ 5.144945 billion, up 17.7% year on year.

In addition, China exported 110 thousand tons of coking coal in June, up 6.5% year on year. And the cumulative volume of exported coking coal was 870 thousand tons in the first half of 2019, up 52.3% year on year.
