According to the first press conference of Fujian province in 2020, the province has announced the withdrawal of 45 coal mines in 2019, with a total annual capacity of 4.77 million tons. Among them, 38 coal mines with an annual output of 90,000 tons, and 7 coal mines with an annual output of more than 90,000 tons, all 45 coal mines closed and withdrawn have passed the provincial closure and acceptance inspection.
The province also carried out verification and survey work on 74 coal mines, among which the normal production and construction mines completed 100% of the survey work, and closed and investigated 3 coal mines according to law. Cleaning up and rectifying 60 coal mine construction projects, of which 37 are scheduled to close, 15 to stop construction and 8 to continue construction.
In the form of double random and secret inspection, Fujian province overscheduled the special law enforcement inspection on 82 coal mines, issued 170 supervision and law enforcement documents, found 1,517 hidden dangers in various types of production safety, and implemented 1,441 rectification measures.
It is reported that from December 2019, the province will organize and carry out a four-month campaign to improve coal mine safety in the whole province, focusing on water, fire, gas and other major disasters. At present, the centralized rectification work is advancing in an orderly way.
