Coal for domestic trade in five ports in northern China
Coal shipments from the five northern ports of China's domestic coastal markets totaled 707 million tons in 2019, 4.88 million tons less than last year. Among them, Huanghua port shipped 200 million tons, ranking first, accounting for 29% of the total of the five ports; Qinhuangdao port was next, shipping 190m tons, and the two ports shipped more than half of the total. Monthly data show that the five ports in the north shipped an average of 58.9 million tons per month, reaching a peak of 63.84 million tons in January of 2019, then dropping back to a low of 51.44 million tons in February, and fluctuating between 56 million tons and 62 million tons since March.
Top 10 Domestic coal discharging port
According to statistics, the annual coal discharge volume of the top 10 domestic trade ports in 2019 ranked from the highest: Jiangyin port had the highest annual discharge volume of 67.653m tons, followed by Nanjing port with the discharge volume of 37.264m tons, and Zhangjiagang ranked the third with the discharge volume of 36.233m tons. Jingjiang, Zhapu and Zhanjiang ranked fourth to sixth respectively, with 33-29 million tons of cargo discharged. Guangzhou, Nantong, Taicang and Ningbo are the last four, with unloading cargos ranging from 25 million to 28 million tons.
Top 10 Independent power plants
According to statistics, the unloading structure of the top 10 coal power plants for domestic trade in 2019 is as follows: the unloading volume of Huadian Jurong power plant, Xiexin power plant, Guangzhou Zhujiang power plant, Ligang power plant, and etc. accounts for above 10% respectively of the total. Among them, Huadian Jurong power plant accounts for the largest proportion (16%). The average share of the remaining six plants is between 8% and 9%.
