On December 17, the National Energy Administration released data on total electricity consumption in November.
In November, total electricity consumption was 591.2 billion kilowatt-hours, up 4.7% year on year. By sector, the primary industry consumed 6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, up 3.8% year on year. The secondary industry consumed 425.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, up 3.6% year on year. The tertiary industry consumed 90 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, up 10.7% year on year. Urban and rural residents used 69.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, up 4.1% year on year.
From January to November, total electricity consumption reached 6514.4 billion kilowatt-hours, up 4.5% year on year. By sector, the primary industry consumed 70.8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, up 5.1% year on year. The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 4412.7 billion kilowatt-hours, up 3.0% year on year. The electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 1,084.2 billion kilowatt-hours, up 9.4% year on year. Urban and rural residents consumed 946.8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, up 5.7% year on year.
